A Malaysian woman is currently under fire from netizens online after she was spotted throwing hands at an elderly man following an accident on a highway.

The #UpdateInfo X page recently shared dashcam footage from the highway, where the woman could be seen smacking the elderly taxi driver’s head and causing his kopiah (a traditional head covering) to fall to the ground after his taxi had apparently hit the woman’s car.

#UpdateInfo wrote, “It’s heartbreaking to see. Even if the uncle is in the wrong, there’s no need to smack the uncle’s head like that.”

According to a report by Kosmo, this incident took place at kilometre 20.2 of the North-South Highway Central Link (Elite) on Saturday (February 8). The Kuala Langat District Deputy Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Mohd. Sufian Amin confirmed that both drivers involved in this accident have made police reports.

Many believe the woman should face legal action for smacking the elderly man.

“This was on the Elite (highway), right? If yes, it’s normal for ‘kiss from behind’ accidents here. Things can be settled at the police station, you can claim the uncle’s insurance. Why did you have to raise your hand?”

“The uncle is definitely in the wrong and can be fined RM300, but I hope that woman who raised her hand will also face legal action for her harsh actions.”

“I hope that the taxi uncle starts a case (against the woman). Let her experience what being jailed feels like.”

“Don’t worry, the uncle can sue the woman, because she raised her hand.”
