Weight loss can be a motivation but to execute the plan is not an overnight thing. It takes discipline, dedication and will, to see your body weight going down because it’s not just about food consumption but also your lifestyle in general.

Malaysian YouTuber, Dai Hee recently posted on his Instagram @kelkelhee and said he is currently on the journey for a 30KG weight loss. In the video, Dai Hee, who currently weighs 130KGs explained that the nature of his job sometimes needed him to eat when he films for food vlogs.

“I wasn’t fat last time, just fat-boned. But recently, I realised my shirts size has gone up to XXXXL from XL. I only weighed 100kg back then.”

To motivate himself for a healthy journey, Dai Hee challenged himself to a 30kg weight loss,  which he expected to see the result by January 1, 2025.

If he failed to achieve his “weight loss KPI”, Dai Hee would “punish” himself by giving everyone in the company a HUGE treat.

“I’ll treat everyone to a trip to Japan. I’ve checked the prices. It’ll be around RM350,000.”

Free trip to Japan, where the hygiene and hospitality game are top-notch? Who would’ve said no? As expected, Dai Hee’s team screamed in excitement.

Of course, Dai Hee would want to avoid spending a big fortune, if possible, which is why the trip to Japan is his motivation for weight loss. One of Dai Hee’s teams said if he managed to lose 30kg within the time frame, he would get Dai Hee a pair of Balenciaga shoes.

The pair then made a pinky promise to keep their words after both assured everyone about what they promised – a pair of fancy shoes for Dai Hee if he succeeded, or a Japan trip for everyone if he failed.

The entire team then gave Dai Hee supportive words as encouragement.

Well, we’ll see how things turn out in 6 months! To those who have successfully lost weight, what are your tips?
