A Malaysian woman was left shocked upon discovering that a boy was recording her as she was using a public washroom in Pengerang, Johor.

The woman, Jueraydah Sherdali, took to her Facebook page to share her experience, starting with how she noticed that someone was recording her.

She wrote, “I didn’t expect this to happen to me. I’m used to seeing this happening (to others) through online posts. Even in a crowded space, you dared to enter the women’s washroom and record.”

“I was shocked as when I was defecating, these black shoes were standing at the door. When I looked up, I saw a phone recording me. I managed to scream and splash water at the phone, and then he ran off to where he was working. He thought I wouldn’t notice his phone case and his shoes.”

Jueraydah gave chase and confronted the boy, who told her that he had deleted the recording and apologised to her.

“What is in this boy’s brain, for him to do these kinds of things in the morning, at 11:30am in a crowded place at that. Now, I am at a police station. Please be careful when you enter public toilets, including at secluded places,” she added.

She’s letting bygones be bygones

In another post, Jueraydah explained that she ultimately decided not to pursue legal action against the boy after his phone was seized by authorities and he spent a night in lockup. This is due to the boy’s parents begging her.

“Alhamdulillah, yesterday’s case has been settled amicably, seeing as to his parents begging me not to proceed with the report against their son. His parents are not in good health, so I felt saddened upon seeing them last night,”

“If I follow my heart, then yes, I am angry. The boy was given the punishment of an overnight stay in lockup, and his phone was seized. He also admitted his wrongdoings, as he made the recording for himself, and he has deleted it,” she shared.

Jueraydah added that she does not blame the boy’s parents in any way as the boy acted on his own, and that she hopes the boy distances himself from such actions.
