With Terengganu banning vapes and e-cigarettes starting in August this year and Selangor considering the same move, many are calling for the end of vape and e-cigarette sales in Malaysia due to health concerns and the easy access school children have to these products.

With that being said, another video has gone viral online, showcasing school kids passing around vapes while taking huge puffs.

Netizen, kamaghul deghaman, took to his X page to showcase a video of the students sharing vapes as they took turns taking puffs. These children are believed to be students from a secondary school in Selangor.

He wrote, “Ya Allah, it’s so saddening to see. Teachers have to start monitoring students who have started bringing vapes to school. Vapes or pods are the easiest thing to buy now. Even convenience stores have started selling them.”

Malaysians, too, feel disappointed and upset by the students’ actions

Many shared their belief that the solution to this problem is to heavily monitor students, but others, once again, called for the ban of vapes in general.

“Parents also have to monitor what their children buy with the money they get and what their children are bringing to school. If people only rely on teachers, of course, there will be things that slip through the cracks. These kids are very smart with things like this.”

“Just this week, there were 2 vape cases at my school. Of course, teachers are always monitoring. Other students have been asked to report it should they see their friends bringing vapes. Do their parents at home not know how to monitor their children? They only know how to make children. But, it’s also not odd, their fathers even have vapes hung on lanyards around their necks.”

“There’s no need for teachers to monitor. Just ban vapes altogether. Case closed.”
