There are many out there who are not as privileged as others to be able to further their studies after secondary school due to financial issues.

Though, thankfully, there are kind people out there who are willing to help when they see a student with great potential.

Norasiah Jamil took to her Facebook page to share how she had tracked down her secondary school teacher who had helped her further her studies by paying for her fees to enter university.

She wrote, “Still searching to this day, Cikgu Pak Lin Hau, my chemistry teacher when I was in Form 5, teaching in SMKAA (SMK Alor Akar) Kuantan, SPM in 1987.”

She also shared how the teacher’s husband is from Sekinchan, Selangor, hoping that residents in the area would have information on him and his wife, who was her teacher.

She further added why she was looking for Cikgu Pak Lin Hau.

“I owe it to her because she was one of the most supportive people when I wanted to enter UTM. I was determined to stop studying because my family couldn’t afford it (we had just moved to Felda in 1986) even though I had received an offer.”

“She was willing to spend her money along with PIBG funding to pay for my fees to register into UTM in 1988,” Nurasiah wrote, adding that, after 36 years, she would like to find her teacher again.

Thankfully, her search didn’t go on for long as her teacher was found and they’re now in contact with each other

She shared with WORLD OF BUZZ that they are currently trying to work around their schedules to arrange a meet up.

“SHE HAS BEEN FOUND! Thank you to all the friends who sent me WhatsApp, from the Kuantan area to even the UK.”

“She touched my heart with her kindness, that I will always remember as long as I’m alive. To her it might have been a small thing, to me it was a life changing action,” Nurasiah said.

We’re so happy that the two have finally found each other again. It is truly thanks to people like Cikgu Pak Lin Hau that the underprivileged out there have the opportunity to live better lives with their support and assistance.

What do you think about this? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
