When you live in KL or Selangor, you will have to use multiple highways daily to save time whenever you travel.

However, this one car probably wanted to save both time and money by jumping tolls.

On 15 October, PROLINTAS Kajang SILK tweeted about a toll jumper who managed to jump tolls 59 times!

The tweet mentions that the toll jumper was stopped by highway personnel at the toll booth and they charged the toll jumper for all the times they avoided paying toll fees.

So, the amount came up to only about RM256.20 including administration fees that the toll jumper had to pay on the spot.

The account admin ended the thread by saying: “Don’t try to avoid tolls!”

Netizens were not satisfied that the toll jumper was only asked to return the money they owed.

“Why are you not charging them higher fines? For example, 5 times the value or 10 times the value of the unpaid fees. Then only they will be aware and not do it. In this case, they only pay the same amount and administration charges which is a small amount.”

“It should be fine or jail time. There were many times my car was tailgated by these thieves.”

Some curious netizens were also wondering how toll personnel detect these toll jumpers.

“How do you detect them?”

“There will be an operation to detect users who do not pay toll.”

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think toll jumpers should be fined more? Let us know in the comments.
