The entire point of planning a surprise is to catch the person being surprised off guard in a gleeful and enjoyable manner. However, one Malaysian may have taken the cake for going above and beyond planning something special for her sister’s birthday, in the furriest way possible!
Komani Ganesan recently decided to plan a surprise for her sister’s 17th birthday party, which was held at her house in Bukit Gasing, Petaling Jaya. It’s safe to say, her plan was successful. In a clip documenting her party on her TikTok page @komaniganesan, Komani hired two alpacas to come to her house for her sister’s birthday and spend time with guests for a couple of hours.
Shocking not only her sister but also their family members, Komani stated that the alpacas, named Pearly and Brownie, were ushered in by their handlers into her home’s compound. Before getting comfortable with the animals, Komani stated that the carers relayed advice to everyone on the dos and don’ts before mingling with the creatures.
“Actually, the adults who were around were more excited to see the alpacas,” said Komani in the video.
According to Komani, the alpacas were friendly in disposition, adding that everyone was fascinated by them, surrounding the duo to take pictures together as well as pet them. Shortly after, the alpacas departed from the residence with their handlers.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Komani stated that the surprise was a great success and really stunned the birthday girl, as she had never seen or touched an alpaca before. Komani also stated that she and her sister have a very close relationship, despite there being a 15-year age gap between the two.
“Growing up, birthdays were not something celebrated as much in my household, but I wanted to end this cycle and make sure my sister celebrated her birthday every year.
“She loves animals, but never mentioned alpacas, so I thought of something similar to ponies. I thought ponies were quite common, so I went with alpacas instead. I just wanted the surprise to be as random as possible! Haha,” said Komani to WORLD OF BUZZ.
