While many of us love to complain how our country can improve, did you know that we actually have a pretty awesome healthcare system?

Our healthcare is heavily subsidised by our government and that means everybody gets super affordable healthcare! Psychiatric checks and dental checks are also super heavily subsidised!

This Twitter user, Wan (@wanenvy) shared his really positive experience with the government dentistry on the 25th of November. In a tweet that has gotten almost 12k retweets, he explained how he went to the Klinik Pergigian to get new dental fillings.

As we all know, the dental clinics are always super crowded. So after patiently waiting for 3 hours, it was finally his turn. When he went in and sat on the dental chair, the dentist removed his old dental filling and put in a new one with quick precision.

Wan was only charged RM3 – RM1 for registration and RM2 for treatment!

This woman says that she went to fill in her teeth at a private dentist and needed to pay RM150 for it. However, the filling didn’t even last for one week, so she went to the government dentist and had it done for only RM4! The filling is still staying where it’s supposed to and it’s also a plus point that the doctor is handsome!

Another woman who got her braces done at a government clinic said that the waiting times are normal even for appointments. She pays RM5 for her braces appointment every 6 weeks and her braces are free! That said you have to put yourself in the waiting list, and depending on the area and how busy the clinic is, it will take up to a few years before you get to put on the braces.

All in all, we do think that our healthcare helps a lot of people, especially the underprivileged and we’re very thankful for that! How about you?
