Najib’s imprisonment is good news to many, and some even went to the extent of “celebrating” his fall.

However, local actor, Fizo Omar doesn’t think that this is a moment of celebration as he believes the former Prime Minister of Malaysia is a good man who has done a lot for the country.

Fizo said that the news has been met with tons of sarcastic reactions and comments online, especially from those who share different political opinions, and he had something to say about it.

“This is not a moment of celebration but take it as a reminder from the Almighty which I believe has a hidden message for all of us.”

In his Instagram post yesterday (August 24), while Fizo did not deny Najib’s wrongdoings, he stated that only God and Najib himself know what he has done throughout his career in the world of politics. He believes that Malaysians, regardless of status and position, are under the same due process of law.

“We are simply rakyat who watch his imprisonment from the media, we shouldn’t be quick to judge and punish,” he added.

“Thank you, Dato Seri Najib Razak”

Fizo then went on and “reminisced” about Najib’s contribution to the country and revealed that he had the opportunity back then to work with the jailed former Prime Minister.

He made it clear that Najib had helped the rakyat a lot when the latter’s government was running the country.

“There’s just too many good things about him for me to say, and as Malaysians, we cannot deny that we enjoyed his leadership.”

Fizo said Najib’s imprisonment should be a stern and solid reminder to all politicians out there that no one is above the law. He concluded his post by wishing the best for Najib’s family.

As of today (August 25), the news about Najib’s fall is still the talk of the town. Regardless, do you agree with Fizo’s take on this incident?
