There are reasons why some premises don’t allow their customers to bring in food and beverages. Spilling the drinks on the floor may not be a big issue but it might hurt your wallet if you spill the drinks on the items, such as clothes or accessories which can be damaging.

Facebook page Penang Kini shared a post by an unlucky Malaysian customer who recently entered a clothing store, and spilled her coffee not on the ground, but on multiple caps on display.

There’s no escape. The customer had to pay for all the caps with the coffee stains. The price of the compensation, however, was not revealed in the post.

“There’s no choice. It wasn’t intentional, but I still had to pay for my mistakes.”

In the FB post, netizens were also reminded NOT to bring any food and beverages into any boutiques and clothing stores.

“It’s painful to pay for all the damages.”

According to a report by Oriental Daily, the customer had to pay the price of more than 10 caps in the store, which had coffee stains.

A long receipt was shared but the price was not properly disclosed. Regardless of the price, it’s still a loss for the customer who probably just wanted to casually browse through the caps!

This shall serve as a reminder to everyone NOT to bring any beverages into clothing stores, or any stores at all. The damage might be too much for us to pay.
