The next time you’re shopping for furniture in IKEA and taking a break for a quick bite, then you might wanna try the new addition to their menu. We all know and love IKEA Malaysia’s famous meatballs, hot dog buns and curry puffs, which taste good and won’t create a big hole in our pockets. And this time, they have another limited edition addition to their menu which looks seriously good.
It looks like the salted egg craze may not be entirely over yet because their popular fried chicken wings, which are already delicious by themselves, now come with salted egg yolk sauce. These Salted Egg Chicken Wings, priced at RM17.90, were recently launched by IKEA on October 21st and will be available until December 21st or while stocks last. Looking at everyone’s reaction on social media, we expect that stocks aren’t going to last very long!
Photos of the chicken wings show that there is just enough sauce to cover the chicken wings without drowning it. The yummy salted egg yolk sauce coats the chicken and with each bite, you can taste the deliciousness and crispiness from the batter as well. Garnished with red chilli and curry leaves, you can expect a little extra kick in the sauce.
That’s not all, as in conjunction with Deepavali, they have brought back the Tandoori Chicken Rice and Yam Cake, which are available for a very limited time – until October 28th, so do grab it before it’s gone! The Tandoori Chicken Rice will set you back RM12.90 while the Yam Cake is priced at RM6.90.
These menu items are available in all IKEA outlets in Malaysia while stock lasts. You can check out their locations and opening hours here.
Looks really yummy! Who wants to take us there?
