This is truly tragic!

A 6-year-old girl from India was gang-raped by two brothers, 12 and 15, and was later strangled to death. The mother of the boys then found the body of the girl, but instead of reporting the heinous deed to the police, she hid the body away from being found by the public, reported the Daily Mail.

The girl reportedly had been playing at the house of the two brothers. She was coaxed with sweets by the two assaulters to come to their house before being raped and strangled in Uttar Pradesh.

A search was done by the family and local police, searching for the girl who had gone missing, only for the body to be found lifeless just 180 metres away from the assaulters’ home.

The two brothers then admitted to their crime while the mother confessed to hiding the body of the 6-year-old girl.

It was reported that the boys earned a living as rag pickers while their mother worked as a labourer.

Both of the boys and the mother were charged with murder and hiding the evidence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim. We truly hope that the suspects will be served justice for what they had done to the unfortunate girl.
