Former education minister Maszlee Malik was probably one of the ministers that had always faced criticism during his time.

In the recent GE15, he contested and lost in Simpang Renggam. Since he lost his parliamentary seat, he is technically unemployed, so he has since taken to Twitter to share about what he is doing now as well as his current goals.

“Many asked me, what’s next? Firstly, I am unemployed and secondly, no matter where I am and what I do, I work towards being the reason Malaysians smile,” he said.

He elaborated by saying that his ultimate goal, no matter how hard it is, is to continue fighting for educators, the OKU community, parents, intellectuals, artists, writers and the rakyat who are fighting the 1,001 struggles in life.

However, the ex-minister is now focusing on bettering himself, so his more short-term goals are to write 2 fiction pieces by early 2023 and to achieve 7-10% fat body mass before Chinese New Year.

Many netizens reacted positively and said that they will always be supporting him, with some even giving him suggestions on what to do next.

One netizen suggested, “just be a streamer, you can talk about the issues in education every week. In the same time , you can network, collect traffic and earn some money as well.
