No matter what happens in someone’s life, one source of support everyone can rely on is their family.
That’s what this Chinese photographer demonstrated when he shared the inspiring fitness journey he went on with his entire family.
Jesse, 32, shared his story on Instagram and Weibo, where he documented the grueling six-month journey in a series of impressive before-and-after photos.

Jesse initially wanted to lose weight on his own, but found the task incredibly daunting. Then, his mother decided to move in when his wife got pregnant to help around the house.
That was when he got the idea to invite his father, who was struggling with alcoholism, to stay over as well so all of them could turn over a new leaf together.
Noticing his father’s beer belly from the years of drinking, Jesse then decided to put him on a weight loss program, starting off with brisk-walking and progressing to jogging.
Soon, they began hitting the gym together and measuring their weight loss every 10 days.

The rest of the family was also roped into the lifestyle change, and all of them stuck to their regimen, which was initially meant to last from 10th March to 30th September.
Now, it looks like they’re continuing their newfound healthy lifestyle and Jesse could not be happier with the positive change he’s seen in his father.Ā
