A few days ago (22 April), a netizen shared two pictures on Twitter showing how a ‘mamak’ restaurant worker heartwarmingly fed a customer who appears to be a person with a disability. This thread has won netizens’ hearts and has been retweeted 27,400 times in just three days’ time.

Based on the pictures, the ‘mamak’ worker was patiently feeding the customer after setting the plate on the table. He could’ve just left after serving the food like any other waiter but he didn’t. Instead, he was concerned about the man’s ability to eat the food and decided to feed him with a spoon.

After this thread exploded on the Malaysian Twitterverse, another netizen named Naqi revealed that the waiter has actually been working there for five years. Here’s what he wrote.

“The mamak’s name is Imran for those of you who want to know. He may seem arrogant but he’s actually a very kind-hearted person. He’s been working at SA Maju for five years and his service has always been great. His teh tarik rarely disappoints people.”

Based on the comments, this restaurant is located in Skudai, Johor and many netizens vouched for Imran’s ability to make delicious teh tarik.

“If he can treat a stranger this well, imagine how would he treat his parents,” a netizen said.

Honestly, we need more people like Imran who shows compassion to others. Kudos Imran!

Here’s the original tweet.
