After recent reports of domestic abuse, Malaysian YouTube sensations Sugu and Pavithra of Sugu Pavithra are taking a hiatus from the limelight.

In an Instagram story on the couple’s official Instagram page, they informed the general public that they will not be proceeding with any brand engagements for the time being.

They wrote, “Hi, the couple (Sugu and Pavithra) would like to take some time off and focus on their personal lives and hence, they will not be proceeding with any brand engagements for a few weeks.”

In light of the incident, many Malaysians have since taken to social media to show their love and support for the couple. They are also choosing to offer Sugu advice instead of just attacking him, showing a change in Malaysian social media.

This comment goes, “As outsiders, we should not judge. Pray for the best for this couple and their children who are still young. I hope that Pavithra stays strong while enduring this test. I hope that Sugu can reflect on himself and learn to control his emotions. We really love both of you.”

Domestic abuse is something that should not be condoned or taken lightly, which is why it’s most important now more than ever, that we share solace, words of wisdom and support for them.

We genuinely wish Sugu Pavithra nothing but the best during this hard time.

Stay tuned for more updates.
