As Malaysians, we are grateful that generally, our fellow Malaysians abroad are doing their very best to represent the country really well. From scientists to leaders, it is safe to say that the Jalur Gemilang is carried with pride no matter where they go. But the best to represent the country is by food and there’s a warung in Melbourne that is combining the two best traits of Malaysia; food and kindness.

Warong Mummy is located in Melbourne and serves delicious authentic halal Malaysian and Thai food for the community there. A quick look at the menu here and you can see the usual dishes that we can find here like Nasi Goreng Kampung, Nasi Goreng USA, Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah and so many more!

But what stands out about the Warong Mummy apart from the delicious offerings there is their effort to help the community. Warong Mummy has been giving out free packed food for those who can’t afford to buy food anywhere. The warung posted on their page recently and said,

“To those who are in Melbourne having difficulties to find money to eat, worry not. We may not be able to give you cash, but if God permits, we can provide food to those in need. All you have to do is just grab a meal pack that we will stack next to the counter. If none is available, just let us know.”

They also elaborated that those who are facing difficulties can also call them at the number so they can work something up to help these individuals.
