According to Sinchew, the recent Big Sweep draw dated on January 7 saw this lucky lady scoring a free Honda HRV 1.8L E through a twist of fate. Apparently on that fateful day, she was on leave and had taken the opportunity to visit her relatives in a grocery store.

When she arrived at their shophouse, she passed by the shopfront first and spotted a bunch of lottery tickets hanging near the counter. The lady, who works as a clerk was curious and wanted to take a closer look at the tickets so she pulled one ticket out.

However, when she pulled, the whole bunch came falling down and the ring holding them together was spoilt, making a mess. As she felt rather embarrassed that she had ruined the ring, she decided to buy a few lottery tickets.

When she reached home, her mother asked her to scratch the tickets for the results. Her niece, who was passing by, even told her aunt that if she won a car, she wanted her aunt’s old car. Little did she know!

To their surprise and amazement, the niece’s wish came true and her aunt really won a new car! The happy lady said that she had originally planned to change her car this year and it looks like luck was smiling at her as they decided to give her what she desired. As for the niece, the winner said that she would indeed gift the old car to her.

What a great way to start the year!
