A single dad in Thailand has official won the global father of the year award in our eyes with his hilarious yet touching effort to prevent his adopted daughter from feeling left out during her school’s National Mother’s Day celebration.

He came through by showing up dressed as a woman, which made his adopted daughter very happy.

The dad, นายโจ ลูกพลบดี (Prachya Deebu), took to his Facebook and TikTok page to showcase a photo and a video of the incident.

He wrote, “Mother’s Day is here. A ‘mother’ I can be for you.”

In the image and video shared, the father could be seen in a dress with a wig on, in an effort to be ‘female’ for  his adopted daughter’s school’s National Mother’s Day event, in which Thailand celebrates on August 12 (Saturday).

According to a report by Bangkok Biz News, the man did not shy away from the spotlight as he proudly sat at the front row of the school’s celebration.

The 48-year-old man is also a health education and physical education teacher at the same school.

“Personally, I’m not ashamed (to dress up like a woman) because I love my child. And we do fun activities together, as usual.”

“Most importantly, I don’t want my child to feel during Mother’s Day every year, like ‘why don’t I have a mother to come to the event like everyone else?’. So, I decided to join the activity,” he said.

What an amazing father!
