Malaysian singer Jeryl Lee gained fame last month after she was crowned the champion of China’s singing competition, “The Next 2023”, beating 4 other contestants in the Top 5 category.
Jeryl is not only known in China for her singing and victory in the competition but recently, her name has been trending on the Chinese social media Weibo. That is because netizens are comparing her looks to Lisa from the South Korean girl group, Blackpink, and claim they both look alike!

The debate about Jeryl’s “doppelganger” started when the Malaysian singer shared some of her stunning pictures on Weibo, and netizens were quick to pinpoint the uncanny resemblance to Lisa Blackpink.
Despite the resemblance, some netizens are not happy about the comparison and see it as an insult to Jeryl. This is due to Lisa’s controversial appearance at the Crazy Horse Show in Paris earlier this month where she was seen in excessively revealing clothing. Many netizens even dubbed Crazy Horse Show as “the world’s 1st nude dance”, which objectified women.
