“Long-lost siblings?” – M’sian Singer Jeryl Lee is #1 on Social Media for Her Resemblance With Lisa Blackpink

Malaysian singer Jeryl Lee gained fame last month after she was crowned the champion of China’s singing competition, “The Next 2023”, beating 4 other contestants in the Top 5 category.

Jeryl is not only known in China for her singing and victory in the competition but recently, her name has been trending on the Chinese social media Weibo. That is because netizens are comparing her looks to Lisa from the South Korean girl group, Blackpink, and claim they both look alike!

The picture below shows Lisa at the top and Jerryl at the bottom.

“The champion of The Next 2023 looks just like Lisa from Blackpink. Sometimes, I can’t even tell which is is Lisa. What do you guys think?”

The debate about Jeryl’s “doppelganger” started when the Malaysian singer shared some of her stunning pictures on Weibo, and netizens were quick to pinpoint the uncanny resemblance to Lisa Blackpink.

Despite the resemblance, some netizens are not happy about the comparison and see it as an insult to Jeryl. This is due to Lisa’s controversial appearance at the Crazy Horse Show in Paris earlier this month where she was seen in excessively revealing clothing. Many netizens even dubbed Crazy Horse Show as “the world’s 1st nude dance”, which objectified women.

Let’s take a look at what netizens had to say about Jeryl’s resemblance to Lisa Blackpink.

“Can you guys stop comparing Jeryl with Lisa? Jerryl is Jeryl.”

“Why would you compare an innocent girl with a dancer who took off her clothes?”

“She’s prettier than Lisa.”

“This is an insult to Jeryl Lee.”

“Jeryl Lee is Jeryl Lee. The one and only Jeryl Lee.”

“Jerryl Lee looks just like Lisa from Blackpink and the resemblance is uncanny. Are they long-lost siblings?”
