We hope the family gets the justice they deserve!

A family from Bukit Indah, Johor faced a horrifying incident when their car was burnt down by loan sharks, early in the morning yesterday (18 April). Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said, in the incident that happened at about 5am, the family also found a threatening note placed in the area of the house.

However, when questioned, the family, who had been living in the house for the past year claimed to have been free from any debts, reported Harian Metro.

In the note, the loan shark warned the occupants that this is merely a warning and if they refused to pay up, then their whole housing area will be set on fire.

Upon further investigation, it is believed that the old occupants of the house were the ones indebted to the loan shark but the new family became the unfortunate target.

The incident did not involve any personal injury and the case was investigated according to Section 453 of the Penal Code. A spokesman for the Johor Fire and Rescue Department said the incident involved a Toyota Vios car that was half-destroyed.
