A Malaysian veteran actor and comedian has come under fire after making inappropriate remarks about actress Fazura while she was seated next to him during a TikTok live session.

During the live session, Mazlan Ahmad, more famously known as Lan Pet Pet, was promoting a Baju Raya brand while engaging with the audience, when one viewer asked whether Fazura had any plans to remarry.

For context, Fazura and actor Fattah Amin divorced in October 2024, ending their seven-year marriage.

Lan, however, did not check with Fazura for her answer. Instead, he made a lewd joke, saying:

“You should wait for a bit, let her ‘dry up’ first. It’s only two years after the divorce. Wait for another year, let her ‘tighten up’ first.”

The clip immediately went viral, leaving Malaysians shocked that such a remark came from a legendary comedian. Well aware of the public’s fury, Lan issued a public apology on Instagram last night (8 February), claiming he had no intention of insulting anyone.

Lan issues a public apology, and Fazura responds

“In Allah’s name, I had no other intentions. To Fazura and her fans, I am truly sorry,” he said in an Instagram post.

“I didn’t realise what I was saying; I was caught up in the moment and the vibes of the event. Please forgive me,” Lan added.

Fazura addressed the apology the same night, stating she had chosen to forgive him for the sake of the Almighty. She wrote:

“Even though the heart may have been hurt, the desire to attain the favour of Allah SWT is more important.

“Hopefully, this incident will serve as a lesson and a reminder for all of us.”
