The Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) recently took to its official Facebook page to share a wholesome letter the department received from 2 South Korean nationals praising the impeccable service of a JPJ officer at the counter of JPJ Kuching.

In the post, JPJ Sarawak attached a photo of the physical letter addressed to JPJ Sarawak director Norizan bin Jili, in which the Korean couple, Erica and Sung, heaped praises on a JPJ officer named Aszerina who helped them convert their Korean driver’s license to Malaysian driver’s licence.

In the letter, the couple said that they wrote the letter to inform the JPJ Sarawak director of Aszerina’s excellent service which made them like Malaysia and Kuching even better than before.

They added that after receiving an email saying they could collect their Malaysian driver’s licence, the couple wanted to write a compliment about Aszerina to her superiors in JPJ but couldn’t do so via the email received as the email couldn’t be replied to.

The couple then went the extra mile to make the physical letter that they sent to JPJ Sarawak so that it could be passed to the JPJ officer’s superior.

Identifying the person who helped them at JPJ Kuching as Aszerina who works in Licensing counter Block B, JPJ Kuching department, the couple heaped praises on how she went above and beyond to assist them.

The couple shared,

“She gave us foreigners details about the documents to submit when converting to a local licence and how to fill them out. She kindly explained to my question. Her face was full of bright smiles when facing us foreigners.

“We can’t forget to thank her for being so kind to us foreigners. Thanks to her, we like Malaysia and Kuching better. Also, the experience of visiting JPJ for the first time became a great memory for us.”
