Accidents happen on the road. It’s a fact of life, and Murphy’s Law says that the more you drive the more likely your chances of eventually being involved in an accident. While we all hope it won’t happen to us, it’s always important to have a good attitude when it does, no matter who was to blame in the first place – after all, we could be on the other end one day.

The way this Malaysian handled a recent accident has netizens praising his generosity and kind spirit in a Facebook posting that has since garnered over 500 shares.

Posting in the Facebook Group Update & Info, a netizen who goes by the handle Nan Naz shared about how his work friend got into an accident yesterday (19th May 2019). Explaining that his friend was clearly in the wrong for the accident, Naz described how the uncle whose car was affected not only forgave the mistake without asking for compensation, but also brought Naz’ friend to a nearby clinic to be tended to and picked up the bill for the treatment.

The uncle even sent Naz’ friend home after! Seriously, how many people are actually this nice?

Telling Naz’ friend that he knew Hari Raya was around the corner – which means a lot of expenditure for those celebrating – the uncle wished him ‘Selamat Hari Raya’ and went on his way. Naz noted how touched he was by the uncle’s actions, and the Internet seems to agree, with many netizens praising the uncle’s kindness.

Others added that Malaysians should show more of this kind of spirit, and that we would certainly be in a better place as a people if we just showed a bit of compassion. We definitely agree!

Sometimes, all we need is just a little kindness and goodwill! Thanks for restoring our faith in our fellow Malaysians, uncle!
