Malaysians were left shocked upon discovering how a Kepong apartment resident had allegedly poured acid down their unit’s drain, causing the pipe to melt and the acid to apparently splash onto a child using the washroom in the unit below.

The Saja Viral Facebook page shared an image of a melting pipe in the lower-floor apartment unit, where the acid had melted through and splashed onto a 6-year-old child.

Acid

They wrote, “My younger sibling’s apartment in Kepong. Someone from the floor above poured acid down the drain, and my sibling’s child paid the price. All of a sudden, the pipe expanded and leaked. The smell of sulfur was so strong. By chance, their 6-year-old child was showering and screamed because the acid entered their eyes.”

“Thankfully, nothing bad happened as the child was quickly brought to a hospital to receive treatment.”

Many have since urged the child’s parents to seek legal action, however they can.

“You can sue, there are elements of negligence. Launch a civil suit to claim injury compensation from the resident of the upper floor.”

“This is the work of crazy people. Report it to the police for immediate action.”

“Make a police report. Launch a civil suit against the perpetrator for compensation.”

What would you do if you were in the child’s parents’ shoes? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
