Prior to a festive season, 1 of the many questions that inevitably linger on our minds is the colour of our outfits. When it comes to Raya, many families tend to “synchronise” the colours of their Baju Raya.
When it comes to answering the colour of your outfit for Baju Raya, it’s always straightforward. A local stand-up comedian, however, has a unique answer for this. Judging from the image below, he is seen in a dark brown Baju Melayu but to him, he dubbed the colour “Kelantan’s tap water”, which sent the audience into waves of laughter.
During a recent stand-up comedy session, the local comedian, Ayim Razak discussed with the audience about the fancy names of colours that many people use for their Baju Raya nowadays.
“Nowadays, people don’t say black or brown anymore. They’re using fancy names – Mahogany, boysenberry. That’s how I know not to say the names of the basic colours anymore,” Ayim joked.
“The charm of comedies”
The audience at the scene were not the only ones entertained by his jokes but netizens also found it creative for Ayim to make jokes based on the current issues.
“Kelantan’s tap water works too!”
“Okay, this entertained me!”
“This is the charm of comedies, using special ways to address the current issues.”
“It does reflect the situation there. The colour of the pipe water is really dark and thick!”
You can watch and listen to Ayim’s clip below.
The water issue in Kelantan is nothing new and unfortunately, some residents in the state are still struggling to get access to clean water. Just a couple of months back, BN’s Zahid Hamidi promised the folks in Kelantan that the water issue will be solved within 5 years if the party wins in the state.
For the sake of the welfare of the people in the state, we do hope that everyone gets to have clean water for their survival.
