In his latest press conference, our Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, just announced that IPT students who have been quarantined for the past 28-days may be allowed to return under strict SOP. Currently, the SOP has not been set yet as to avoid mass movements and gatherings of students which will further worsen the situation.

The students have been under quarantine for 28 days which is twice the required period of time required for quarantine. Hence, the Higher Education Ministry will discuss with the Health Ministry to form an SOP which allows these students to return to their hometown.
