Most of us have something that we like to collect. For some of us, we like to collect coins, stamps, socks, memes, et cetera.

For the Jeram ADUN, Mohd Shaid Rosli, he loves collecting Malaysian banknotes. Recently, his post searching for a certain banknote has gone viral as he is said to be looking for a special RM1 note and is willing to pay RM1,000 to RM3,000 for a piece!

In his Facebook post, he says,

“Look at your RM1 notes now. If you have one with the same signature, I’ll buy it from you with RM1,000.”

He elaborated and said that if the note is in a good condition, then he will buy it for RM2,000. In addition to that, if the note is in perfect condition with no creases, then he will buy it for RM3,000.

That note has the signature of the sixth Bank Negara Governor, Tan Sri Ali Abul Hassan Sulaiman who passed away in 2013. He is the shortest-serving Bank Negara Governor as he only served for a period of two years before retiring. He was succeeded by the seventh Governor, Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz.

In another Facebook post, the ADUN has explained that it has almost been 20 years ever since he started his collection.
