As nations went into lockdown to curb the spread of Covid-19, animals began to take over the urban areas and we’re all amazed with what has become of it!

In Japan, Nara Park is usually flooded with tourists who love to hang out with the adorable herds of deer. Tourists are also allowed to feed them crackers, making the experience even more memorable and enjoyable.

However, due to the pandemic, the deer have all been left alone in the park which has resulted in some “abnormal” behaviour”, as reported by the Straits Times. They’ve been so accustomed to being fed Shika Senbei crackers, and now that no one is there to feed them, they are wanderimg off into the city’s empty streets.

Coincidentally, it is the cherry blossom (sakura) season in Japan, and beautiful pink flowers are blooming on all trees. Park grounds have been blanketed with a layer of fallen sakura, producing a surreal sight as the deer hang around their habitat.

Aww, this is such an adorable sight!

This is kind of unexpected, and it’s probably one of the nicer things to have occurred since the global pandemic while we’re fed countless of distressing news on the daily.
