It’s Anwar & Wan Azizah’s 40th Anniversary Today & They’re Still As Sweet as Ever!

It’s Anwar Ibrahim and Wan Azizah’s 40th wedding anniversary today, and they’re still the sweet couple they have always been! Amidst the country’s current political crisis, these two love birds still take the time to celebrate a momentous occasion.

Anwar shared on Twitter several photos of him and his wife cutting a cake together with beaming and cheerful faces.

“40 years of kindness.
40 years of courage.
40 years of loyalty.
40 years of strength,” he said in his post.

“Through thick & thin, I am everything I am today because of the love of my life & the grace of Allah.”

“Happy Anniversary @drwanazizah & may He grant us many more years together.”

Aww, so sweet! ?

Anwar and Wan Azizah have always been open about their affection for each other, which was especially evident when Anwar was released from prison after Pakatan Harapan won the 14th general elections in May 2018.

40 years of kindness.
