It’s Anwar Ibrahim and Wan Azizah’s 40th wedding anniversary today, and they’re still the sweet couple they have always been! Amidst the country’s current political crisis, these two love birds still take the time to celebrate a momentous occasion.
Anwar shared on Twitter several photos of him and his wife cutting a cake together with beaming and cheerful faces.

Anwar and Wan Azizah have always been open about their affection for each other, which was especially evident when Anwar was released from prison after Pakatan Harapan won the 14th general elections in May 2018.
