Now that the weather is still scorching hot, many people find respite in getting cold drinks or cut fruits from street vendors.

However, some of them seem to be taking advantage of the situation.

Recently, a netizen took to a Johor Bahru chatting group on Facebook to show off the melon they purchased.

At first, it all seemed well, but once we turned to the side, we could clearly see that it was very thin.

To highlight this thinness, the netizen then took out a tape measure and measured the thickness.

The thickest part of the melon measured at 1.1 cm.

Many netizens were shocked and replied humorously.

“Is it possible that the expensive part is their knife skills?”

“You bought the plastic. The melon was for free,” commented a user.

One netizen said, “We eat fruits to cool down, but I think the person is now full of heat (anger).”

Other netizens also shared the same sentiments, and some gave advice.

“Go to the supermarkets and get a whole fruit. You can eat however much you want.”

“To be honest, buying a piece of fruit outside nowadays is expensive. After that, you don’t feel like you’ve eaten any fruits at all,” said a netizen.
