On October 8, the Putrajaya IPD carried out a special vehicle operation, but this time it was aimed specifically at their own personnel from the Putrajaya District Police Headquarters.
In a Facebook post, they revealed how the special vehicle operation was conducted by the Integrity & Standard Compliance Department together with the Traffic Investigation & Enforcement Department.
6 summons were issued
According to Harian Metro, Putrajaya District Police Chief, Aidi Sham Mohamed, shared that the operation, running from 7:30 AM to 9 AM, involved 1 officer, 8 traffic personnel, and 2 members of the Integrity and Standard Compliance Department.
He added that out of the summonses issued, 5 were for expired licenses and 1 for driving without a license.
“4 summons were given to parents dropping off their kids at the nursery, and there were 2 more for cafeteria workers.”
The purpose of the special operation
Harian Metro also mentioned that the operation is all about making sure the people at the Putrajaya District Police follow the laws and traffic rules, like having a valid driver’s license and road tax, and not committing any traffic violations.
Aidi Sham added that the goal is to educate everyone on why vehicles need to meet the right standards and regulations.
In addition to that, the operation aims to spread awareness about sticking to vehicle rules and building a sense of camaraderie among the Putrajaya IPD staff to keep safety and individual responsibility in check.
