Err, how do people contact the helpline then?

Amidst the surge of Covid-19 cases in India, the country’s ruling party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a Covid-19 helpline in the district of Panchkula in order to provide help and resources to people battling the virus within the district. One small problem however, the party never actually disclosed a number for the helpline during its launching.

As reported by Indianexpress, the BJP’s wing in Panchkula has launched a committee to help with Covid-19 management in the district. Furthermore, the medical helpline will be manned by a team of 18 workers who will work the phone lines from 8am until 10pm.

The move was made after a meeting in the BJP office on 26 April 2021 chaired by district party president Anjay Sharma and in the presence of MLA Gian Chand Gupta. The committee also launched the initiative under the slogan ‘Seva Hi Sangathan Abhiyan’ which is made famous by India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

The only thing missing now for the campaign to be effective is to actually publicise the number for the helpline.
