The most important people have to be there on your wedding day. This is a non-negotiable because their presence matter. Now, what if your other half cannot make it to the wedding?
A pair of Malaysian newlyweds recently ended 2023 with their marriage, but not everything went as planned. The bride was hospitalised, and with the doctor’s advice, she was not allowed to be discharged. The show, however, must go on. Nevertheless, she decided to “attend” the wedding but made it online.
“A sad ending of 2023. I’m sorry, dear husband that you had to be alone there,” Fatihah said on her TikTok post @tyazara_.
Her husband managed to put on his sweetest smile on the big day but couldn’t contain his tears when he was at the wedding, where he spoke to his bride via video call. Being on the hospital bed didn’t alter Fatihah’s will to carry on with the wedding.
The e-wedding was held on 30 December 2023, 6 sweet years after the pair got together. Little did they know, they had to be apart on their wedding day due to Fatihah’s illness.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Fatihah said that she was hospitalised days before the wedding due to pneumonia, and the doctor did not allow her to be discharged. Fatihah refused to delay the wedding day and fortunately, she had full support from her family and her in-laws.
“I had to put on the oxygen mask when I was admitted. I was barely able to breathe and fortunately, everyone understood my situation.”
Fatihah also told WORLD OF BUZZ that as of January 4, she is still being treated in the hospital in KL. The wedding took place in Kedah.
We must admit that Fatihah’s husband was strong enough to go on with the wedding without his wife physically by his side. Regardless, we’re glad that the wedding was a success and received understanding from the families, and we wish the best for the newlyweds!
