One of the biggest concerns during the Movement Control Order (MCO) is the fact that there are so many homeless people in Malaysia that require assistance.

Luckily, not only did they get the temporary housing and sustenance that they need to help them protect themselves from the Covid-19 outbreak, but the government is also helping to clean them up.

As showcased on parliament member, Annuar Musa’s Twitter page, these homeless men, women and children are getting haircuts to help with their hygiene.

He wrote, “Today, all the homeless are taking turns to get their hair cuts. They look neater, as you can see from the before and after photos!”

Annuar Musa also showcased the authorities distributing blankets to the homeless sheltered in community halls.

Though, despite the acts of kindness, many are worried for the homeless people’s well beings after the MCO is over. Will they have to return to the streets?

He believes they shouldn’t.

He wrote, “I don’t think I should return them to the streets after this is over. I have passed on my idea and wishes to the Mayor of KL. I don’t think it will be long before my wishes become a reality. I am confident we can do it even though it is out of the box.”

It is unsure what exactly his plan is, but as long as it provides proper shelter for the homeless people of Malaysia even after the MCO is over, then we’re all for it.

Thank you, Encik Annuar Musa and all the authorities that are helping the homeless!
