A man in Melaka, who had only RM8 with him, found his journey to Johor eased thanks to UMNO Youth Chief Datuk Dr Akmal Saleh, who met him on the road.
The man wanted to head back to Ulu Tiram after failing to secure a job in Melaka.

Dr Akmal helps out a stranded job seeker get back to Johor
While the man was attempting to make his way back to Johor, Dr Akmal, who was on his way to the office, spotted him by the roadside.
He was carrying large bags under the scorching sun, so the UMNO Youth Chief offered him a ride back to his office for a quick chat to better understand his situation and help him.
Upon discovering that the man, Ali Ehsan, only had RM8, Dr Akmal bluntly told him that such an amount would not get him anywhere
So, he decided to help Ali by arranging transportation for him to get to the bus station in Muar and purchasing a ticket for Ali to travel to Larkin.
Additionally, Dr Akmal, who is also the assemblyperson for Merlimau, handed Ali RM100 in cash so that he could buy something to eat.

From Larkin onwards, Ali was able to continue his journey home independently.
While Dr Akmal did not personally send Ali to the bus station, he paid for Ali’s tickets, and the UMNO Youth Chief’s colleagues personally drove Ali to the bus station and ensured he boarded safely.
“I couldn’t bear to leave him alone. He only had RM8 with him to go back to Johor. Maybe that was why Allah allowed us to meet,” Dr Akmal stated in his Facebook post.
