It would seem that just hot on the heels of one grandmother being tragically abused by her own grandson, another grandmother has to suffer under the pressures and demands of what is allegedly her own son, leading us to wonder if people in this day and age still care and cherish their elders at all.
In a Facebook post that was recently uploaded online by netizen Murphy Lim, a feeble, old grandmum was seen begging money from one table to the next in a few of Ipoh’s more popular eateries. Looking dishevelled and with her age hampering movement, the old woman hobbles around, trying to get restaurant patrons to give her some money.
With a plastic container in hand, it can be clearly seen that she has managed to collect some small amount as she wanders around.
But what makes this all the more horrible is that apparently, an able-bodied middle-aged man, suspected to be the son of this frail old woman, was waiting for her to give him the money she had begged from people.
As you can imagine, the man’s actions have earned the ire of many netizens across Malaysian social media, condemning him for making such an elderly lady to beg and earn a living for him, despite being able to do so himself as a healthy, able-bodied man. It is alleged that the man is unemployed, but this has not been confirmed.
We hope that the local authorities catch on to this and take action against this man!
