It’s no secret that Malaysian airports, just like any other airport in the world, has rules against bringing in water or other drinks onto the plane.

One foreign traveler though didn’t get that memo as he took to his TikTok account, andreas_tomazou_travel, to rant about not being allowed to bring in the water he had purchased onto his flight.

He wrote, “This is insane, guys. Like, this (is how) they force you to buy water from the plane (that’s) 3-4 times than the normal price. Come on! This is water!”

In his TikTok he further ranted that this is the first time he’s experiencing the rule, after travelling through 51 countries.

“I’ve never seen anything like this in the world, guys. Only at this airport. 51 countries and this is my first time that I’m seeing something like this. What if I don’t have money? How can I buy water from the airport, it’s a 6 hour flight,” he shared.

It is believed that this took place at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Malaysians didn’t exactly take too kindly to the man’s rant, for they took to the comment section to insist that rules, well, are rules.

Others pinpointed that this rule applies in other countries as well, and told him that if he doesn’t have money to purchase water, he shouldn’t travel.
