It’s not your usual media session!
Petrosains recently gave media partners a chance to experience its interactive exhibits firsthand, combining education, technology, and storytelling in one immersive session.

Held under the theme “A Memorable Experience with Petrosains”, the session aimed to strengthen collaboration with the media in sharing education-driven content, in line with Visit Malaysia 2026.
“Your presence today reflects more than just collaboration. It represents a shared belief that education, knowledge and storytelling can drive meaningful change,” said Shamini Balan, Director of Stakeholder Relations & Communications.
From AI to sustainability, here’s what visitors can expect

Participants were taken through Petrosains and the PETRONAS Twin Towers SkyXperience, which has evolved into a space that blends STEM learning with experiential tourism.
Highlights included Veloclimb in the SPEED zone, an interactive climbing activity, and Hello AI in the Sparkz zone, which introduces artificial intelligence (AI) in a simple, engaging way. The Sustainability Gallery also showcases concepts like urban farming and sustainable living.
The experience concluded at Sky Café by Maja on Level 83 of the PETRONAS Twin Towers, which is recognised by the Malaysian Book of Records. The SkyXperience is also listed under the World Federation of Great Towers.

Bringing STEM learning beyond Klang Valley
Petrosains is also expanding its reach through initiatives like Tech4All, PlaySmart and Discovery Rover, bringing STEM education to communities in Sabah, Sarawak, Johor and Pahang, especially those with limited access, including Orang Asli communities.

These efforts aim to make learning more accessible while helping to bridge the education gap across the country.
