A luxury car owner has received praise from many Malaysians after showing an unexpected act of kindness despite his car being hit.

The incident was brought to light by activist and former teacher Mohd Fadli Salleh, who reshared the screenshot conversation between the car owner and the food delivery rider.

Luxury car owner praised for showing kindness towards rider

In the conversation, the car owner reached out to the rider himself and politely told him not to worry about the damage, reminding him to prioritise his safety while making deliveries.

What made the gesture even more heartwarming was that the owner assured the rider the damage was minor and that he would handle the repairs himself.

“Hi. I’m the owner of the car you hit earlier. Don’t worry, the damage to my car isn’t too serious. I’ll send it for repairs myself. Your job isn’t easy, so please make sure to take care of your safety while delivering orders, okay?”

“I’m truly touched by your kindness”

Touched by the owner’s response, the rider still humbly apologised for his mistake and offered a heartfelt prayer, hoping that good things would come his way in return.

“Hi boss. I’m really sorry for my carelessness. I’m truly touched that you didn’t ask me to pay for the damages. I pray that the Almighty rewards your kindness and blesses you and your family. I apologise once again,” the rider wrote.

Fadli shared that the rider had accidentally hit the parked car and, due to the heavy rain, was unable to wait for the owner to arrive and apologise in person.

Wanting to take responsibility, the rider later posted online to look for the owner so he could apologise and offer to cover the repair costs.

Reflecting on the incident, Fadli praised the car owner for showing empathy and understanding towards the rider’s situation.

“To the car owner, thank you. You put aside your own concerns and showed understanding towards someone else’s difficulties. And to the GrabFood rider, you are truly an honest person. Both individuals showed kindness and honesty. Congratulations to both of them,” he wrote.
