A viral post drew the attention of Malaysians recently, in which a woman shared how a kind e-hailing driver went above and beyond to help her when she needed it most.

In a Threads post by @mirzahiraa, she said she woke up one morning feeling really unwell and, while shaking from the pain, decided to walk to a nearby clinic.

She had only RM30 left at the time

When she reached the clinic, it was closed, prompting Mirza to call a Grab as her pain got worse.

“Even though the pain was getting worse, I tried to endure it, but ended up crying by the side of the road. My whole body was shaking as I held my phone, trying to book a Grab. I was also worried because I only had RM30 left while waiting for my salary on Monday,” she wrote.

She added that a kind pakcik driver soon arrived and took her to another clinic, which, by coincidence, was crowded.

“When we got to the clinic, it was packed with people. The pakcik immediately said, ‘It’s okay, don’t worry about money. Let’s find another place’.”

The pakcik gave her extra money for expenses

The pakcik then offered to take her to a private hospital, but Mirza told him she didn’t dare go since she didn’t have enough money.

“I cried even harder because from the moment I got sick, all I could think about was my parents. I kept calling for them in my head, but they were far away in Perak. Allah sent this uncle in their place, and he helped me the whole way,” she wrote.

In the end, the pakcik drove her to the emergency department of a government hospital.

“When we arrived, everything went smoothly. The pakcik didn’t just help me from the start. He walked me all the way into the emergency department, bought me breakfast, gave me extra money for expenses, and even video-called later to check on me, offering more help if I needed it.”

“If you ever get him as your Grab driver, please give him 5 stars and leave a kind comment. He is truly, truly a good man. This pakcik eased my hardship, and in return, I pray that Allah blesses him every day, makes everything easy for him, and multiplies his sustenance many times over.”
