Many parents are willing to do anything for the sake of their children’s wellbeing. This man is certainly a perfect example of that.

A man was found dressed in a bear costume last week at a public square in China, selling hugs to strangers on the street for 10 yuan (RM 6.43).

This man’s name is Feng Kai and the reason he was selling bear hugs on the street was to raise money for his young son, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2015 when he was just 1 year old.

According to Shanghaiist, 25 year-old Feng, who was a mechanic prior to his son’s diagnosis, was told by his relatives to not bother with getting treatment for his son, since it would be way too expensive for his family to afford.

But how could a parent just give up on their child without even trying?

Unable to give up on his son, Feng decided to quit his job to take care of his beloved son full-time.

Needless to say, the past couple of years have been hard on the family, as his son’s medical bills have added up to 370,000 yuan (RM237,725.99).

Feng has borrowed money from those willing to help in order to cover some of the costs, but it just wasn’t enough. So, he decided to make money on his own by donning a bear suit and selling hugs for 10 yuan on the street, all for his son.

Sadly, not many people wanted to buy his hugs at first, as he had only made a little over 100 yuan (RM 64.25) in the first 3 days.

Luckily though, after pictures of the loving father went viral in China, many kindhearted netizens donated up to 180,000 yuan (RM115, 650.48) to him!

Kudos to your big hearts guys!
