Earlier this month, MACC disclosed the monthly earnings of the Members of Parliament (MP) and it was revealed that finance minister Lim Guan Eng earns more than RM86,000 per month, which is even more than Tun M’s income.

However, it looks like another person in the government overtook Lim with the highest earnings, including their spouse, amongst all the MPs and administrative members in Malaysia.

Berita Harian reported that Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Nga Kor Ming earns as much as RM101,160 per month. The aforementioned amount also includes the earnings of Nga’s wife. Wah, so wealthy!

The Perak DAP chairman’s earning was revealed via the Properties Declaration portal which is run by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). Therefore, based on his earnings, the Teluk Intan MP has surpassed Lim as the MP with the highest income. Wow!

Just behind them is Datuk Christina Liew who earns RM84,422.50 per month. FYI, she is the chairperson of PKR Sabah and the Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah.

As for now, 112 MPs have already declared their earnings and only 12 of them have yet to divulge theirs. That said, you can head over to their website to learn more about our MPs and administrative members’ earnings.

Leave us your thoughts about Nga’s earnings in the comments below!
