This is terrible!

According to a post on Info Berita Semasa, 17 cats were brutally poisoned in Lorong Seri Kuantan, Pahang because people there apparently did not like the kitties walking around. These cats are actually stray(s) and a kind soul, Muhammad Nur Fiqry Zahari was taking care of them. The kitties were poisoned while Nur Fiqry wasn’t at home.

Apparently, the perpetrator tried to poison 60 cats at once by feeding them poisoned raw chicken heads but only 17 of them, sadly, took the bait and they died. As of now, Nur Fiqry has lodged a report to the Department of Veterinary Services in hopes that they will be able to track the person who poisoned the cats. The FB status read,

“It’s time to use the 2015 Animal Welfare Act so that the criminal can be punished accordingly.”

Agreed!

We hope that the authorities will quickly find the person who poisoned the poor cats and prosecute them accordingly. Hopefully, justice will be served for the kitties!

That being said, this isn’t the first mass killing of cats because, in Puchong, 10 pet cats suffered the same fate too. You can read about it by clicking the link below.
