Imagine going to tapau (takeaway) lunch with a colleague only to be harassed by a stranger about the fact that you are female and your colleague is male.

That’s the reality girls in Klebang, Melaka, are facing as we speak.

A Malaysian woman, @fahhhhhhhh112, recently shared a video of a man harassing her purely because she was walking with a male colleague to go tapau food during their lunch break outside their office.

She wrote, “Help me, I’m now scared to go to Klebang.”

In the video, a stranger could be seen confronting her for walking with a male colleague when they were merely trying to go get food before getting back to work.

“For those who are staying in the Klebang area, please be careful. This man suddenly attacked me because he saw me with a man, and we (@fahhhhhhhh112 and the harasser) don’t even know each other. The man I was going with to get food is someone from my office, he’s just a colleague.”

“Many have said that he indeed attacks women for sitting with a man or he would suddenly knock on your car window if you are sitting inside with a man,” she shared.

In another video, the stranger could be heard insulting her purely for walking with her male colleague, telling her “she has no dignity“, that there’s “no point that she wears a headscarf“, that she should “go and die“, that she’s “a dog“, that he “hates women like her” and that he’s “dissatisfied with her“.

We genuinely hope that the authorities take action against the man before he takes his actions too far.
