The celebration of life will always be a joyful one, and none better than that of parents who go above and beyond just to commemorate their children. However, one set of parents may have taken the cake for significant lengths they went through in order to celebrate their eldest child.
Bruneian emcee and event organiser named Airil shared this instance to his TikTok page @airil_event. Simple yet effective, the clip displayed a couple walking into an event hall with their child rolling in just inches in front of them – literally. In the video, the couple’s eldest child, who is still a baby, could be seen sitting in a mini Mercedes Benz car while cruising down the aisle of the hall.
Stealing the show from both of his parents, many guests waved in pure delight over his sight, cheering for the toddler as he looked around the room. Upon reaching the end of the aisle, the baby’s parents both reached to pick him up, likely heading towards the stage in front of them, before the video concluded.
In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Airil stated that the event was actually conducted to honour the couple’s child. Referred to formally as Majlis Mandi Belawat, Airil stated that it is a traditional celebration done by the Malay individuals of Brunei to commemorate their eldest child turning a year old.
“I helped organise the event, and the man and the woman are indeed the kid’s parents. It is not actually a wedding celebration as what many people assumed online,” clarified Airil.
Making waves on the platform, many people expressed just how cute they thought the baby was, saying that he resembled a character from The Baby Boss movie franchise.
“They see baby rollin’, they wavin’!” jokingly added one user.
