While travel might be a far fetched idea right now with the global pandemic on everyone’s mind, some governments have already been taking the initiative to restart their own travel industries by offering some truly incredible deals to tourists. And just when you thought Japan is the only country to bookmark on your travel plans soon, you may want to add our neighbour, Thailand to that list.

Sofitel

Why? Well because just like the Japanese government, the Land of Smiles is about to sponsor up to 50% of your accommodation for your next trip to Thailand! That’s right, up to 50% discount for hotel stays across Thailand, whether it’s Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket, or anywhere else within the nation!

While the country is still in a state of lockdown presently until the end of June, it is expected that the Thai government will begin lifting enforcement rules to allow tourists back into the country after that.

As such, the Thai Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council will be planning to launch discount coupons and travel packages for tourists anywhere between 40% to 50% by either July or the end of this year, according to GirlStyle.

While details have yet to be announced, you should definitely start making your Thailand trip schedules soon to make use of these great discounts!

What do you guys think of this development?Ā Ā
