The country’s self-acclaimed number 1 singer is back, and this time, he is not alone. Dato Aliff Syukri has returned for a collaboration with local rapper, Caprice who invited him for a “team-up” earlier.

Just yesterday (November 10), the controversial businessman shared a reel on his Instagram which shows him in the recording studio with Caprice, where he can be seen in the midst of recording the duo’s new song.

The title and the content have yet to be disclosed but there is one thing that Aliff Syukri really wanted from his fellow fans.

“Honest comments please. My singing voice is great, right? I’m sure many can’t wait to watch and hear the No. 1 singer in action again.”

This is not Aliff’s first rodeo in the singing industry and his previous songs have generally received negative reactions from the netizens. But this time, does it make any difference for the “country’s No. 1 singer?”

The reactions in the comment sections may not agree with what Aliff thought about his singing voice.

“It’s not great. Do you understand BM? Please get over yourself, your singing voice is not great!”

Another netizen pointed out that even veteran & legendary singer, Dato Jamal himself has never claimed himself as the country’s No. 1 singer.

“This is what happens when you’re too rich and do crappy things, and when he knows singing isn’t his forte. Attention seeker. Think about your wife and kids.”

“That’s why I said you’re fake. Doing something on purpose to get slammed, and then apologise before repeating the same thing a week later. True faker.”

“Honestly Dato, your singing voice is nowhere near great.”

Despite multiple backlashes for his attempts in the singing industry in the past, Aliff does not seem like he is going to quit singing anytime soon. Do you think his commitment and bravery should be applauded, or do you think he should leave the music industry for good?
