Just last week, news has reported that the Thai princess, Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati, has collapsed while training her pet dogs for the Thailand Working Dog Championship organised by the Thai Army. The 44-year-old princess was then sent to the King Chulalongkorn Memorial hospital located in Bangkok via helicopter for treatment.

Thailand’s Royal Household Bureau has also released a statement mentioning that the princess had collapsed due to not having a fully functioning heart. That being said, as of yesterday 19 December, the princess had to be put on life support.

However, her current conditions are considered as stable and are closely monitored by the doctors in the hospital. Following the news of her in the hospital, Bangkok Post has reported that King Vajiralongkorn and his current wife, Queen Suthida have visited the princess while other princesses have sent their assigned representatives to present flowers.

A chanting session was led by monks in at Wat Ratchapradit Sathit Maha Simaram and hosted by the Department of Religious Affairs. Various denominations and religions have also been asked to perform rituals and prayers.

Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati is considered as the most established candidate to succeed the throne as she was born from a woman of Thai royal lineage and was educated in law, international relations and has diplomatic experience.

We hope that the Princess is able to fully recover from this soonest possible.

Stay tuned for more updates.
