Aaron-Wooi Yik Win Malaysia’s First Medal In The 2020 Tokyo Olympics!

Congratulations, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik!

Malaysia’s badminton men’s double representatives Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik won the bronze medal in tonight’s match against the Indonesian pair Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan. This is Malaysia’s first medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Aaron-Wooi Yik pair lost the first set to Setiawan and Ahsan (17-21),  but gained victory later in the second (21-17)and final set (21-14) in the nail-biting bronze medal match.

Both Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik were seen lying down on the court with joy. This is their first Olympics match, there is definitely a bright future ahead for both of them.

Malaysians are extremely proud of the pair’s fantastic performance during the match. Thank you for making us proud, and once again, congratulations!
